People
Our People
Telescript DC’s operations are built around our staff technicians. Our college-degreed associates are carefully recruited, and receive extensive training in every aspect of our business. They feel equally at home with top network anchors, world famous politicians, or the middle managers of your corporation or trade association. Their professionalism makes the crucial difference.
Robert Eustis
Robert Eustis earned his bachelor’s degree at James Madison University, where he majored in Cinema Studies with a concentration in writing, and joined Telescript DC in 2009. When not hanging with wife Kristen or keeping tabs on three-year-old Connor, he enjoys a variety of sports and cinema. He is an avid follower of new tech, and indefatigable problem solver, and when not tending to prompting chores at some of DC’s most prestigious events, Rob helps keep Telescript DC’s technology up-to-date.
Jared Feinstein
Chief of technical operations Jared Feinstein graduated from Towson University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in electronic media and film. Jared served as in-house videographer for the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and worked as a freelance video editor before joining Telescript DC in 2014. Possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of classic (and some not-so-classic) film, he counts the Indiana Jones franchise and the music of Leonard Cohen among his especial enthusiasms. Jared has never met a piece of gear he’s afraid to disassemble and trouble-shoot.
Christian Sheppard
Christian Sheppard is a graduate of St. John’s College in Annapolis, famous for its “great books” program. Before joining Telescript DC in 2021, Christian spent two years at Booz Allen Hamilton, where his work on emergency management simulations led to an interest in television production. Christian has a special interest in writing, and values exposure to the script-writing talents of Telescript DC’s customers.
Dylan Johnson
Dylan Johnson is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, where he majored in both English Language and Literature and Media Studies. An avid writer and film enthusiast, Dylan worked in Event Management with the Van Saint Group (Baltimore) before joining Telescript DC in 2023.
Paul Griffith
Paul Griffith spent several years in the Washington, DC, production community, working as production assistant, grip, producer, cameraman and editor with Potomac Digital Group, WILL Interactive and Fed Net, before joining Telescript DC at the start of 2024. Paul is a graduate of Boston University, where he majored in Film and Television Production. An avid film buff and environmental advocate, when he’s not making the rounds of the capital city’s meeting venues and television production sets, Paul can be found enjoying the great outdoors.
Jim Lawrence
One of Telescript DC’s first associates, Jim Lawrence left the company in 2004 when family obligations took him to South Carolina. Trained in I.T., Jim worked in a support role for Fintrust Capital Advisors of Greenville, SC. He re-connected with Telescript DC in 2022 to help with administrative chores and coordination.
W. E. (Bill) Smith
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from Towson University, Owner/Manager Bill Smith studied law at the University of Maryland School of Law and computer and information science at University of Maryland University College. He began his career in communications with Presentation of Washington, specializing in multi-image slide shows, and founded Telescript DC in 1990. He cut his teeth in network television in the 1990’s, providing prompter for the legendary David Brinkley, then Cokie Roberts and Sam Donaldson, on ABC’s This Week. He has worked on more television productions than he can remember and is intimately familiar with Washington’s meeting and convention venues. He is the author of the novels Be True to Your Tribe, Tanaki on the Shore, Ver Sacrum, I’ve Got a Right to Sing the Blues and Bal Harbour.
